'My Hero Academia' Creator is Supporting His Assistant's Manga

Kohei Horikoshi is one of the biggest names in manga thanks to his My Hero Academia. The globally loved series has 13 million copies in print in Japan and has spawned a highly popular anime adaptation.

While Horikoshi is responsible for the most of the manga’s work, he does receive help from assistants – including Yoko Akiyama. When not helping with My Hero Academia, Akiyama works on her own manga, which is titled Saguri-chan Tankentai (Saguri-chan Expedition Party). The manga’s second volume is coming out and Horikoshi is asking his fans to support it. He also drew a collaboration image featuring Deku that will be featured in the volume.

Saguri-chan Tankentai is currently serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app. The manga follows Saguri-chan, a frail girl who has recovered from a series of illnesses. Now healthy, she loves to explore new places.

I love all things that are cute, magic-based, and easy going! My biggest obsessions of all time are Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches and Fairy Tail. Let’s go shipping!
