Bleach fans rejoice!
Tite Kubo’s acclaimed series Bleach is getting its live action adaptation, and it is slated for release this July 2018.
Warner Bros. Japan recently dropped the movie’s first full-length trailer, and boy does it deliver. The trailer may be short, but it packs a lot as it features Ichigo and Rukia facing an enormous Hollow. Check the trailer out for yourself:
According to the reports, the live action adaptation of Bleach will revolve around the Substitute Shinigami Arc, which runs from the first to the eighth volume of the manga series.
Taking the helm for the live action adaptation will be Shinsuke Sato who directed the Gantz and Gantz II: Perfect Answer live action films.
Sota Fukushi, who starred as Ren Ichinose in the Strobe Edge and Kami-sama no Iu Tooro’s live action adaptations, plays Ichigo Kurosaki while Hana Sugisaki, known for her work in films like Blade of the Immortal and When Marnie Was There, will play Rukia Kuchiki.
