Steins;Gate 0 is here and we don’t have to remind fans about the hype that’s behind it!
Steins;Gate 0 takes place in an alternate World Line, taking place months after the events of Steins;Gate. Okabe managed to save Mayuri’s life, but he has been suffering from depression following a tragic incident. He’s attempting to forget that past and move on with his life, but Okabe is pulling back into the world of science after meeting the neuroscientist Maho Hiyajo.
Steins;Gate is one of the most loved modern series, so fans have high hopes for Steins;Gate 0. Outside of an unfortunate mistranslation of “Tuturu”, fans have been singing their praises!
Steins;Gate 0 Episode 1 was actually pretty damned good. The pacing was solid (feels like it’s going along the pathing of the Epigraph manga rather than the VN), and the way they’re adapting Okabe’s trauma is also very good.
I’d suggest watching 23 Beta beforehand, though. pic.twitter.com/PDODHBhkmg

Okabe in Steins,Gate 0 has such intense PTSD from time traveling that he goes to college classes to distract himself.
You know someone is close to their breaking point when school is their escapism.

Unfamiliar with Steins;Gate 0 and how it fits in?
The events require knowledge of the original title, Steins;Gate, as well as the 23b OVA (watch them in that order). Then comes S;G0.
Steins;Gate original series -> Steins;Gate episode 23b – Steins;Gate 0 anime

Steins;Gate 0 aired today. I’m so happy. First episode was fantastic and if it’s even nearly as good as the original it’ll probably be my anime of the season free.

Watched the first episode of Steins;Gate 0 and It’s amazing. IMO It does stuff way better than the Steins;Gate 0 visual novel. #SteinsGate0 pic.twitter.com/DacnyGUXsR

The first episode of Steins;Gate 0 is one of the best episodes of anime I have ever seen. Period. The impeccable timing of events, the revelations, the music, the climax. It was absolutely perfect.
